About Boston

April is a lovely month to be in Boston. Spring is just starting and the city is bustling with business people, students and athletes from all over the world. In addition to several large industry and academic conferences, there are many other notable events taking place in April:

  • Boston hosts the Boston Marathon each April, which ends at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square, which is near the Hilton Back Bay. Though the marathon will take place later in the month, preparations will be underway during AMW11.
  • Red Sox season begins in April. Fenway Park is just minutes away from the hotel and conference center where AMW11 will be taking place, so you will be sure to see loyal fans clad in Red Sox gear everywhere you go!
  • The Boston Garden, Boston's oldest most notable landmark, boasts the return of the Swan Boats, which mark the (long awaited) return of Spring. Bostonians rejoice at this time of year!
