Welcome to the Website for the Second International Workshop on Animal Models of Weight Loss Surgery (AMW11)

The Physiology of Weight Loss Surgery:
Lessons From Animal Models

April 3 - 5, 2011
Boston, MA

Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School are proud to announce AMW11, the second International Animal Models Workshop. The three-day scientific workshop will assemble international leaders in the field of bariatric surgery research, as a follow-up to the first-ever Animal Models Workshop, held in 2006. Since then, many exciting new developments have taken place in this area.

AWM11 will be a collegial, discussion-oriented symposium covering the latest advances and trends in animal model and weight loss surgery research.

AMW11 is hosted by Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, the NIH Small Animal Metabolic Surgery (SAMS) Core Resource and the Boston Nutrition and Obesity Research Center (BNORC).
